Efficient spectral regulation in Ce:Lu3(Al,Cr)5O12 and Ce:Lu3(Al,Cr)5O12/Ce:Y3Al5O12 transparent ceramics with high color rendering index for high-power white LEDs/LDs

Abstract Realizing a high color rendering index (CRI) in Ce:LuAG transparent ceramics (TCs) with desired thermal stability is essential to their applications white LEDs/LDs as converters. In this study, based on the scheme of configuring red component by Cr 3+ doping, an efficient spectral regulation was realized Ce,Cr:LuAG TCs. A unilateral shift phenomenon could be observed both photoluminescence (PL) and excitation (PLE) spectra By constructing TC-based LED/LD devices remote mode, luminescence properties TCs were systematically investigated. The CRI values TC LEDs increased magnitude 46.2%. Particularly, combining fabricated 0.5 at% Ce:YAG TC, surprising 88 85.5 obtained LDs, respectively. Therefore, highly promising convertor for high-power applied general lighting displaying.

Preparation and optical properties of transparent Ce:YAG ceramics for high power white LED
Transparent Ce:YAG ceramics were synthesized from the Ce:YAG powder which was produced by co-preparation method of the hydroxides.
